Refractive Surgery · Barcelona

Adéu, glasses.

Life in Barcelona is too good to see blurry.

Why things blur

Adéu, blur.

Your eyes aren't broken. They're healthy. Their parts just don't quite line up, and that's what makes things blurry. It all depends on where the light focuses.

Short-sighted

Blurry far away. Fine up close.

The eye is slightly longer than normal, so distant light focuses just in front of the retina instead of on it.

The solutions

Adéu, one-size-fits-all.

A clinic with one machine has one answer for every eye, and it is always the machine it owns. Our answer is the one that's right for your eye.

What we recommend for most eyes

No flap. An opening of about 2 mm instead of about 20 mm, and the laser itself takes about ten seconds per eye.

Don't just take our word for it.

You already carry the world's knowledge in your pocket. Ask it!

“Can one laser eye treatment work for every eye, or do different eyes need different procedures? Compare SMILE Pro, Femto-LASIK, LASIK, PRK, implantable lenses and lens exchange.”

Precision & trust

Adéu, guesswork.

Precision built in Germany. Measured on your eye.

adéu.now treats with the ZEISS VisuMax 800, the latest femtosecond laser generation from ZEISS, the company that has built precision optics in Germany since 1846.

  • Ten seconds per eye.

That is the laser step. You are awake, your eyes numbed with drops. You walk out about an hour after you arrive, and most of that hour is preparation.

  • No flap. A 2 mm opening.

SMILE Pro shapes a thin disc inside your cornea and lifts it out through an opening of about 2 mm, instead of the roughly 20 mm cut a flap needs. Nothing is folded back.

  • Measured, not guessed.

A detailed scan of your cornea decides the plan before the laser is programmed. Not an average, not a typical eye, and not an estimate. Yours.

Common questions

Adéu, doubts.

The things people ask before they book. If yours is not here, ask us on WhatsApp.

That is what the free check is for. We measure your eyes, take a detailed scan of your cornea and look at how you use your eyes day to day. Then we tell you honestly whether this is something we can do for you.

We tell you the same day, and we tell you what your options are. Sometimes the answer is a lens instead of a laser, and sometimes it is a referral to the right specialist at our clinic.

Yes. In most cases you leave knowing whether it is a yes, and with a recommendation. Occasionally one detail needs a doctor's confirmation at the complete exam.

You need to be 18 or over, with a prescription that has settled. There is no upper limit. From around forty-five the lens inside every eye starts to stiffen, which changes which method suits you, and that is one of the things the free check works out.

Yes. Correcting astigmatism is part of what these methods are for. Which one suits your eyes depends on your scans, not on the astigmatism alone.

Leave them out for at least 24 hours before, ideally 2 to 3 days. If that was not possible, come anyway and tell us what you wear.
