LASIK has been performed more than any other vision correction in the world, and it has decades of results behind it. It is one of our six, and it is chosen from your scans exactly like the other five.
A precision instrument separates a thin protective layer at the front of your cornea and leaves it hinged on one side. This is the flap. An excimer laser, the ZEISS MEL 90, then reshapes the tissue underneath, following the plan built from a scan of your own cornea.
The flap goes back where it came from and heals without stitches.
The only difference from Femto-LASIK is how the flap is made. What happens underneath is the same treatment.

A flap wants a little care while it settles, so the dates above are worth keeping rather than rounding down. The check-ups are included: the day after, one week and one month. You buy the prescribed drops at a pharmacy.

What it asks of you
- The flap is a cut of about 20 mm, and it wants more care in the early weeks than a 2 mm opening does.
- Drier eyes in the first weeks, as with any flap method. It settles, but it is real while it lasts.
- Sport waits a week, and swimming and sauna wait two.
- It needs a cornea with good thickness. If yours is thinner or an unusual shape, PRK is the one we would talk about instead.

From your scans, and never from the price: the two cost the same here. The thickness and the shape of your cornea decide it, and you get that answer on the day of your free check.
Leave them out for at least 24 hours before, ideally 2 to 3 days. If that was not possible, come anyway and tell us what you wear.
If your result needs fine-tuning, we correct it at no cost during the first year.
