A precision instrument separates a thin protective layer at the front of your cornea and leaves it hinged on one side. This is the flap. An excimer laser, the ZEISS MEL 90, then reshapes the tissue underneath, following the plan built from a scan of your own cornea.
The flap goes back where it came from and heals without stitches.
The only difference from Femto-LASIK is how the flap is made. What happens underneath is the same treatment.

From your scans, and never from the price: the two cost the same here. The thickness and the shape of your cornea decide it, and you get that answer on the day of your free first visit.
